Telemedicine involves the delivery of health care services through electronic communications or through other means between a health care provider and a patient who are not face to face in the same place. Telemedicine may be used for diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and/or related patient education, and other necessary medical services.

 The electronic systems used in the telehealth services will incorporate network and software security protocols to protect the privacy and security of health information and imaging data of the patients involved. It will also include measures to safeguard the data to ensure its integrity against intentional or unintentional corruption.
