Yes! Parallel’s phage serums are safe to use with other products. In fact, phages are known to augment the effects of several active skincare agents, such as Vitamin C, Retinol, Peptides, Niacinamide, and more. However, we recommend not to concurrently apply our phage serums with benzoyl peroxide, tea tree oil, colloidal silver, or denatured alcohol. These products are known to deactivate phages. If you are unsure about the compatibility of your product, please write to us at hello@parallelhealth.io.
Yes, absolutely! Phages have received GRAS status from the FDA, meaning they are "generally regarded as safe." In fact, on average, two million phages pass through your body every day, so we have evolved to live alongside them! Phages do not affect human cells, and they only have activity against the specific strain of bacteria with which they match.
In addition to skin microbiome testing, we offer the following products that support skin health and longevity: Holy Calming Cleanser, Skin Barrier Biotic Cream™, Active Phage Serums, Blue Biotic™ Multi-Effect Peptide Cream, and Personalized Prescriptions. We also offer sessions with Parallel doctors and clinicans, providing 1:1 medical guidance and care to augment your skin health regimen.
Order our MD-03 Phage Protocol™ and receive your Skin Microbiome Discovery Test. Send in your swabs from the test, and we'll generate a comprehensive skin health report for you that includes important information about your microbiome, such as types of bacteria present and skin age.

Science

To improve your skin age, protect yourself from the sun by applying SPF 30+ sunscreen and reapplying every two hours. Optimize your skin microbiome with a suitable diet and topical skincare tailored to your skin microbiome type. Sign up for the MD-03 Phage Protocol™, which includes our Skin Microbiome Discovery Test, for personalized recommendations.
"Bad" bacteria on your skin can lead to acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, clogged pores, and breakouts by outgrowing the "good" bacteria. "Bad" bacteria only cause skin issues if they are overgrown; it's normal for everyone to have some level of "bad" bacteria on their skin.
Your skin microbiome changes at least twice a year and can fluctuate more often due to stress, diet, relocation, or new household members. We recommend testing 2-4 times per year. Two tests are included when you sign up for the MD-03 Phage Protocol™ (retail value $990)
Many products on the market negatively affect your skin microbiome because they are harmful to the good bacteria on your skin, thereby causing long-term issues and/or accelerated aging. Instead, microbiome-friendly products help nourish your "good" bacteria, and even help you get rid of the "bad" bacteria. Balancing your microbial ecosystem can keep your skin healthy, clear, reslient, and looking youthful.
