When I set out to create The Blue Biotic™, I was really trying to address my own personal frustration—one that I think many of you may share. The market is saturated with endless products, from mass to luxury, claiming miracles, but so many just don’t deliver. I can’t tell you how many industry friends have revealed to me that the companies they work for take mediocre ingredients and repackage them with “great marketing” and then overload their customers with endless SKUs.

At Parallel, more than pretty packaging, we are deeply rooted in skin microbiome science, and I have come to learn that less is more when it comes to skincare. Our data consistently shows that people who use fewer, high-quality products tend to have healthier skin microbiomes. This insight, paired with my own hectic lifestyle, made me realize there was a major gap in the market. In its inception, I tasked the Parallel formulation team with a few parameters. I wanted a functional anti-aging product that:
