Nathan Brown holds a PhD in microbiology and has spent more than 20 years working at the intersection of phage discovery, genomics, phage stability and manufacturing, microbial ecology, and AI. He trained in the United States and the United Kingdom and spent time in Russia studying its long tradition of phage research. His work has been funded by the Gates Foundation and the Wellcome Trust.
At Parallel Health, Nathan leads scientific research and development, including whole-genome skin microbiome sequencing, bioinformatics, phage development, and clinical research. He writes and reviews articles on the Parallelogram blog covering the skin microbiome, phage science, and the evidence behind the ingredients in Parallel’s formulations.
